The computer is designed to help make the individual more efficient and productive. Many can scarcely imagine getting through their day without them. Paine, of course, would have reveled in the tools available to the modern blogger.
Sitting through a system reboot after yet another computer crash, I am left to wonder what Tom Paine may have muttered under his breath as he dealt with the foibles of the technology of his day.
